Meet Our Team Online
Help your child get to know us before they even walk through the door! You can see our doctors and team online and see the friendly faces that will be taking care of them.
We offer a specially designed Autism Visual Book to support children with autism in understanding and navigating their dental visits. Contact us to learn more.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
To help us provide the highest standard of care, we ask that you bring the following items to your child’s first visit:
A Note on Privacy and Consent: We take your child’s health and security very seriously. For this reason, we may ask to have a copy of the child’s birth certificate or a custody order on file. This helps us ensure we are receiving consent for dental treatment from the proper legal guardian. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
What to Expect During Your First Visit
We have designed our office to be a welcoming and calming space. With a fun play area and TVs on the ceiling above our exam chairs, we help make your child’s visit a positive distraction.
For the first dental visit, parents are always welcome to accompany their child into the treatment room.
A typical first appointment includes:
-
A Comprehensive Oral Exam
-
Gentle and Professional Dental Cleaning
-
Digital Radiographs (X-rays), as indicated
- Guidance for at-home oral care and nutrition
When should I schedule my child’s first dentist appointment?
We follow the Canadian Dental Association’s recommendation to schedule your child’s first appointment around their first birthday or within 6 months of their first tooth erupting.
Our Vaughan and Ajax offices have fantastic features that will put a smile on your child’s face, including:
- TVs above dental chairs
